Forest Stewardship Council®

The popularity of using paper products in marketing campaigns is increasing. It requires extra attention to the environment from both the manufacturer and the user. To assure our customers that our products are environmentally conscious, we supply Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC® C095392) certified tissues.

FSC®, the Forest Stewardship Council®, is an international organisation, founded in 1993, that promotes responsible forest management. FSC® sets global standards for forest management, linked to a hallmark. The basis for these standards, which are further elaborated per country or region, are the ten FSC® principles for good forest management. When forest owners comply with the FSC® standards, their forest can be certified. Independent auditors monitor compliance with the rules.

Our tissues are simply green

All our tissues are made from fast-growing wood and 100% pure pulp to ensure the desired softness. No chlorine or other optical brighteners (OBA) are used. The pulp used to make toilet rolls is 100% fast-growing Eucalyptus and pine wood. Fully recyclable and no added optical brighteners (OBA). For our wet tissues we use synthetic material that is not suitable for flushing down the toilet, namely 70% viscose and 30% polyester. The corrugated cardboard used for the outer boxes is made from 100% recycled material.

The materials we use fully comply with EU legislation where this applies. The following product specifications are indicative and subject to change.

Cardboard

For the material to be printed, we apply quality standards that the cardboard used must at least meet, such as:

  • Grammage ± 275 g/m2
  • Whiteness 84 Illumination C/2º +/-0.5%
  • Thickness 500 micron +/- 3%
  • Rigidity: according to DIN 53121 MD mNm > 42.0 :CD mNm > 21.0           Besides these specifications, it is important to realise that cardboard is a natural product. The cardboard may, within the high quality standards that we set, exhibit minor permissible deviations. The cardboard and the foil we use as packaging material are fully recyclable.
